If you read my last post you know that my big trip to Disney World is coming up in one week. I'm beyond excited and I'm doing my best to rest my body and save up some energy. It was my prayer that I would be healthy enough to get in two doses of methotrexate before leaving, however that is not to be.
I saw my primary care doctor on Wednesday and she said that my body is still fighting off the viral infection I picked up at the beginning of this month after having the flu. Fluid in my ear and swelling of sinuses and throat are still hanging in there. My immune system is revved up fighting the infection (which is a good thing and an answer to prayer) so I don't need to go on antibiotics at this point. I need to keep resting my body so that it can put all of its strength into knocking out the virus.
Yesterday was a pretty tough day, but today is better. Please continue to pray that my body is able to fight off the infection on its own, and that it would be gone by Saturday. I won't be able to get my methotrexate shot until after I return from Florida so a big prayer request is that I will be able to function when I am there and have miraculous energy! Pray for Erin as well; she is fighting an infection and on antibiotics. Pray for a reprieve for both of us from health issues so that we can have one week of miraculous fun in the magic kingdom! Pray that my parents will stay healthy and that we will all have a fabulous time together.
Matthew 7:7-11 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!"
A more literal translation of verse seven would read, "Keep on asking, and it will be given to you; keep on seeking, and you will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to you." Will you keep on asking, keep on seeking and keep on knocking with me?
