Four More Weeks!

I guess it's about that time huh? It seems like it has been a long time since I have updated y'all. Life is so busy these days. I have about four more weeks until I graduate! Wow! These next two weeks especially will be just crazy. But my last week of school I think I will have everything done and will have a week to rest and relax...or have fun with friends, pack and get ready for North Africa!

Let's see, what did I do this month? Last time I wrote, I was on Spring Break. Thanks for your prayers, I did get my midterms done and I did pretty well on them! Our team got the opportunity to share at school about our trip this summer. We finally got our prayer letters out. (If you did not receive one, and you would like one, please send me an e-mail with your address and I will get one out to you. Some of you I do not have addresses for and I did get a few letters back in the mail.) Hmm, what else did I do? I went to a concert with some friends at a military base, got pulled over by the military police, lots of fun! Our North Africa team had a birthday lunch for two of the guys on our team at a local steak house (see picture above). I went bowling with some friends from 11pm - 2am last weekend - that was fun, way past my bedtime! I watched two friends win their soccer games in the CIU cup. And, I've had many group meetings for various class projects. It has been a busy month, but a fun one.

I have also been praying this month about my future. I really appreciate you joining me in prayer. I feel like God wants me to stay down here. I have peace about that. I have a job interview tomorrow at a large church downtown. It is for an administrative position. Please pray with me about that! The interview itself will be a great cultural experience. I had to ask people from the south what to wear, and get out my fanciest clothes! I am also starting to look for a place to live along with two other gals. I feel like as I have moved forward in the decision to stay that God has continued to open doors. Please pray that if this is not the direction He wants me to go in, that He would re-direct me quickly!

Other than that, life has been a steady stream of homework and preparations for this summer. Please pray with me that the finances our team needs will come in quickly, we leave in about a month. We need to order our plane tickets, but we need the money in our accounts first.

I appreciate and love y'all so much. May God bless you abundantly this month!
“Do not pray for easy lives, pray to be stronger men.
Do not pray for the tasks equal to your powers; pray for powers equal to your tasks.
Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle, but you shall be a miracle.”

Sounds like God has something special planned for you down there. Yeehaw!! :o)

I begin my new job at a different Alliance church on Tuesday. Who'da thunk I'd be a Children's Ministry planter? I enjoy it though... except for the part where my heart is ripped out when I have to leave the kids, volunteers and families behind that I've come to love dearly. This Sunday will be my final day of the third ministry I've had the privilege of watching God build from the "ground up", then been called to another church with a struggling (or nearly non-existent) children's ministry after three years. I ain't buyin' a house or condo anymore... I'm renting from now on!! :o) I don't like the process of selling real estate... let alone doing it every three years if this is how God plans to continue to use me. :oD

It's great that you are staying down there and I will be praying for your job search. Keep us updated. Congratulations, graduate!!!
