WooHoo!!

Hey friends,

Just a quick update with some big news. We're starting a magazine! That's right, Broken but Priceless Ministries is launching an on-line magazine next month (WooHoo!) and I need your help.

The Battle Intensifies

Hello my friends,

It has been too long since my last update. My apologies! I'm in denial that fall is here, in spite of the trees in my yard changing colors and the cooler temperatures. We had such a late start to summer, and I have felt sick for so much of it, that it just doesn't seem like it should be over! It reminds me that we aren't always prepared for what happens in life.

The Other Good News

Since the real good news is that God loves you, sent His son Jesus to this earth to die on a cross for all of our sins, raised Him from the dead, and is now living inside those who choose to follow and love Him...I'll share with you the other good news. The good news I got last week from my doctor in Lincoln!

The Journey

Hello dear friends,

Last time I wrote to you I was doing great. Well, things quickly deteriorated from there and the almost two months since have been filled with some very difficult days. However, I am thrilled to report that today marks one week of not horrible to really incredible days! This journey I'm on is an emotional one, filled with the highest of highs and lowest of lows. I can go from physically having the best day (of, really let's just say it, my life up to this point) to feeling like I'm on my deathbed the next. It's a crazy ride God has me on, but I am so thankful for the things He's teaching me along the way.

Whoa-oa-oa! I feel good, I knew that I would, now...

Now that I got a song stuck in your head...

I really do feel so much better. The best I have felt all year - Yah! Two weeks ago we spent a week in Lincoln with Dr. Sara and Dr. B. My testing was all over the place. In some ways my body is doing really well. However, it was also freaking out a bit, which is why I was feeling so miserable. It was determined that I'm making great progress, but my body doesn't know what to do with it. It was over stimulated and hadn't been responding to the attempts to slow it down.

Journey To The Land of Promise

My brother Ike and I trying not to crash!

Hello dear friends,

I have a lot to update you on mostly because I've had a lot of time to think recently! First off, I want to thank you for praying for Erin and I when we went back to see Sara. All of the bacteria was out of my bloodstream and she tried to build me up a little bit. When we got back home God graciously gave us a few good hours to have some fun. My brother took us on snowmobile rides and we got to go sledding. Unfortunately, winter decided to take Erin out. She fell on some black ice and broke her arm. Thankfully it is healing well. On our way to the ER that night God allowed Erin and I to see the Northern Lights. It was a beautiful gift in the midst of brokenness. God's like that. He always gives good gifts to His children, even in less than ideal circumstances.

Bacteria in the Bloodstream

Howdy friends, just a quick update before I head back to Lincoln. Bacteria in the bloodstream. Ya, did that get your attention?! It's a good thing though, really! Let me back up a bit. Last week my dear friend Erin arrived from South Carolina, just in time for some of the coldest temperatures we've had in decades. Luckily we missed most of it when we went to Lincoln to see Dr. Sara.
